We are proud to announce the release of Monte das Herdades’ latest wine, the new Rosé 2021, a Malbec varietal wine set to captivate wine lovers worldwide.
Produced with traditional techniques and great care, the wine is the result of a hand-picked harvest in 20kg crates, carried out in mid-August.
The vinification of Rosé 2021 was meticulously executed, with a manual selection of clusters and berries, followed by cold skin maceration at a controlled low temperature of 10°C. Gentle pressing in a pneumatic press and fermentation in small capacity stainless steel tanks, with controlled temperature up to 17°C, ensured the preservation of delicate aromas and flavors.
With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., Rosé 2021 presents an attractive color and a perfume of fruity notes, such as ripe cherry, delicately infused with red rose bouquet. On the palate, it is elegant, with persistent and vibrant acidity, culminating in a fruity finish. Serve the wine at a temperature of 12°C for optimal enjoyment.
Monte das Herdades is a traditional estate located in Alcaçovas, in the Alto Alentejo region. The vineyard, cultivated in organic mode, is set amidst 600 hectares of natural reserve surrounded by cork oak forests. The undulating plain with abundant wildlife and flora gives it a unique character.
The production of Rosé 2021 was limited to 2,024 bottles, and the winemaker responsible for the wine is Engineer Mafalda Sarsfield Magalhães. Monte das Herdades estate is renowned for producing unique wines, thanks to its terroir, moonlight harvesting, and careful manual grape selection.
