On the night of May 24th to 25th, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of 36 sommeliers and head sommeliers from Michelin-starred restaurants and top establishments across Europe at Monte das Herdades. This stay was part of a trip promoted by ViniPortugal, aimed at increasing the awareness of Portuguese wines, deepening the sommeliers’ knowledge of our wines, and promoting new business opportunities in the European market.

During their visit, sommeliers had the opportunity to explore our vineyards and cellars, gaining detailed insights into our wine production process. The highlight of their stay was a memorable evening featuring a meticulously prepared dinner paired with Monte das Herdades wines. Guests enjoyed the following wines:

• Pinot Noir 2020
• Malbec 2020
• Brut Nature Sparkling Wine 2020
• Rosé Malbec 2021
• Chardonnay 2021

Each wine was chosen to showcase the richness and diversity of our production, providing a unique gastronomic and oenological experience.

The visit not only reinforced sommeliers’ knowledge and appreciation of Portuguese wines but also opened doors to new business opportunities, expanding the presence of our wines in the demanding European market.
